Warfighter Information Advantage Symposium 2024

In the wake of Hurricane Helene and the challenges it has brought, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Warfighter Information Advantage Symposium (WIAS), originally set for Oct. 29-30. The safety and well-being of our community remain our highest priority and we believe this decision is the best course of action given the current situation.

WIAS has been rescheduled for Feb. 4-5.

We appreciate your understanding and patience. Our thoughts are with our Augusta community and we look forward to reuniting soon when they are ready to host us.

An Autonomous EW Coordination Framework
Nov. 7 | 2 PM ET

Cognitive EW (CEW) is a vague term, and the reader is not enlighted when it is described as Artificial Intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) to enchance the development and operation of Electronic Warfare (EW).

This webinar will address how to implement a distributed EW capability, comprised of a number of different EW receivers and jammers, as a human/machine team. To achieve AI teams, the underlying is intelligent software agents.

Teamed autonomous agents are the basis for development teams to build and run distributed reasoning applications, and address key problems facing autonomous systems designers, namely:

  • How do we create effective Human Machine Teams?
  • How do we create Ethical and Explainable AI?
  • How do we support Resilient Teaming in disruptive environments?

In this episode of From the Crow's Nest, host Ken Miller is joined by CX2 co-founders Nathan Mintz and Porter Smith to discuss the changing role of electronic warfare in international conflicts.

The conversation focuses on the role of EW in conflicts in the Middle East, as well as with the Russo-Ukrainian War. The founders discuss the implications of developing autonomous systems and the increased complexity of modern conflicts driven by a network of inexpensive, expendable assets such as kamikaze drones. Nathan and Porter alsoexplore the challenges and prospects of maintaining spectrum dominance, the integration of commercial development practices into defense technologies, and the necessity for agile, responsive innovation in military procurement and system development.
