High-Bandwidth Oscilloscopes for Multi-Channel, Coherent, RF Pulse Analysis
June 27 | 2 PM ET

When warfighters enter the battlefield, whether in the sky, on the ground or at sea, they depend on sophisticated radar and electronic attack jammer systems to protect them from harm. Advancements in digitizing technology and analysis software enable EW systems to undergo testing in the lab before they reach a real conflict. High-bandwidth oscilloscopes can be used for multi-port, coherent RF pulse analysis. With the combination of real-time digital down conversion and variable-length segmented capture, such oscilloscopes can digitize, store and analyze the essential information needed on every radar echo or jammer pulse in an EW scenario, lasting seconds or even tens of seconds, to ultimately help evaluate the effectiveness of EW systems.

Israel’s prime minister says the war in the Gaza Strip will soon enter a new phase. “The intense stage of the war with Hamas is about to end,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a television interview on Sunday. “This does not mean that the war is about to end, but the war in its intense phase is about to end.” But whatever relief those comments may bring after more than half a year of horrific bloodshed, Netanyahu quickly made two things clear: A cease-fire in Gaza is not at hand. And the next fight might be in Lebanon, with the forces of a Hamas ally, Hezbollah. (NYT)
