Browse sponsorship opportunities for this event. 5G Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) – Technology Outlook and Evolution With 3GPP Release 17, the 5G system is “learning to fly” and technology wise 5G will enable satellite based connectivity. But it will present a long technology evolution and the NTN will be further enhanced. Those enhancements allow the incorporation of more processing power into the satellites known as regenerative mode or will enable other airborne stations beside satellites and also enhance the interoperability of terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks.
