Help recognize the outstanding efforts of industry peers. A central tenet of AOC's mission is recognizing individuals, groups and military units for their outstanding performance in furthering the aims of AOC and the Electromagnetic Warfare enterprise. AOC has a number of awards that are available each year, with three categories – Prestige, Community and Chapter Flow Up. Hurry! The submission deadline is this Friday, April 15. In this episode, host Ken Miller welcomes Col. Jeffery Fischer, USAF (Ret), to discuss current developments in Ukraine and how the conflict may change how we think about fighting in the electromagnetic spectrum. Jeff is a 30-year Military Aviator and Electronic Warfare Officer with seven combat tours in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Balkans. He flew both the Air Force's EC-130H Compass Call and the EA-6B Prowler while on a joint exchange with the U.S. Navy. He also served as Diplomatic Defense Official to U.S. Embassies in Austria and Kosovo and at NATO Special Operations Headquarters in Mons, Belgium. At the mission-level, NATO is developing an Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) / Suppression of Enemy Air Defense (SEAD) roadmap which, taking its cue from NATO’s Wales summit in 2016, is looking to rebalance and update the capability available to the Alliance. The U.S. and its allies are preparing to send heavier weapons to Ukraine in anticipation of Russia focusing its efforts on the eastern part of the country. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson paid a surprise visit to Ukrainian President Vlodymyr Zelenskyy in Kyiv on Saturday, where he pledged 120 armored vehicles and new anti-ship missile systems.
