Modern Threats: Surface-to-Air Missile Systems Conference 2022 Join us for a two-day conference in Huntsville, Alabama, with classified presentations on the most recent analysis of advanced and emerging worldwide manportable air defense systems (MANPADS) and electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) guided surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems. Educating and informing the electromagnetic warfare community is at the heart of the AOC’s mission and with this new certification program, your professional development training hours can now be applied towards a certified training program.

Airplanes flying into Israel from the west are again experiencing problems, due to a signal spoofing system installed by Russia in Syria, Israel’s Kan news outlet reports. According to the report, pilots began having issues a few weeks ago, and Israel has sent a message to Moscow informing it that the system is interfering with its civilian airspace, but Russia has insisted the system is needed to protect its soldiers. (The Times of Israel) Northrop Grumman is conducting research and development to adapt its electronic attack platform — built for the Arleigh Burke-class destroyer — to fit on smaller ships, a company official said.
