Less than 6 weeks to go to one of the largest EW events of the year!
- 46 presentations from global experts and leaders, covering the entire AOC Mission Area
- 10 additional presentations and panels during the Plath Intelligence Workshop
- 70 exhibitors and 45 Nations attending

Over the past few years mature, offensive EW activity in Europe has demonstrated that in the electromagnetic domain, warfare is no longer theoretical. The AOC’s 24th European event will consider the future of EW and EM Operations in the changing light of current and emerging threats, including Hybrid Warfare, Information Operations/Warfare, the multi-domain battle (MDB), Cyber and Anti-Access/Area Denial (A2/AD) where some potential opponents are excelling.

The event is free-to-attend for military and government representatives.

In addition to delivering a thought-provoking conference with contributions from world-leading sector experts, the event will feature an extended exhibition of more than 80 organisations. Each will be showcasing their latest technologies and solutions advancing the Electronic Warfare / Electromagnetic Operations sector.

Register for the conference today!

A complete agenda for the event can be found here!

The Directed Energy (DE) community finds itself at a point of convergence between the state of the art of various forms of DE-weapon technology, and a growing number of emerging and asymmetric threats that those DE weapons can reasonably address in a more cost-effective manner than existing, and thus far conceived, conventional kinetic weapons. This immergence of addressable threats, and the low cost per engagement and a deep electrical magazine, allows for DE capabilities to reduce engagement costs and enhance force protection. We are now operating under a new paradigm for DE weapons, where the warfighters and acquisition community need answers on how, and not if or when, DE weapons are to be used. So, this now begs the question: “How do we operationalize DE weapons?” This brief is intended to introduce DE weapons, will discuss operational issues that must be addressed, and address the typical capabilities and limitations associated with the fielding of DE weapons.

On April 11, AOC Advocacy’s SIGINT Industry Partnership Project (IPP) will hold its first USMC SIGINT Day, featuring a congressional panel discussion entitled “Winning the EMS: Assessing the Future of USMC SIGINT,” from 8:30-10:00 AM in 2168 Rayburn House Office Building. Congressman Paul Cook (Col., USMC Ret.), representative of the 8th District of California, is the honorary host.  His congressional district includes the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center and the Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command at Twentynine Palms, and he is a member of House Armed Services Committee. The event will bring together senior leaders from the US Marine Corps (USMC) to share perspectives and discuss developments in Information Warfare and the integration of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Cyberspace Operations (CO).

Invited Senior Leaders:

LtGen Lori Reynolds, Deputy Commandant for Information
BGen Dimitri Henry, Director for Intelligence, USMC
BGen (Select) Melvin Carter, JSOC J2
Col Randolph Pugh, Commanding Officer, USMC Intel Schools

New Technology & Methodology for Mission Assurance in EW/CYBER

Register Now!

Cyberspace and Electronic Warfare technical capabilities are becoming more technically similar. However, the communities which practice these disciplines remain largely separated and vary widely across the military Services in terms of their equipment, unit organization and operating methodologies. This conference provides the EW and Cyberspace communities an opportunity to collaborate and discuss capabilities, TTPs and research in EW and Cyberspace operations to enable more rapid deployment of new and improved capabilities. The Cyber/EW Convergence Conference identifies ways to develop advanced technologies and systems to address the changing battlefield dynamics of the digital age and bring EW and Cyberspace together for the Warfighter!

Keynote and High Ranking Speakers

General (Ret) Glenn Walters, USMC - President of The Citadel, Former 34th Assistant Commandant of the USMC
Maj. Gen. Robert J. Skinner - Commander, 24th Air Force; Commander, Air Forces Cyber and Commander, Joint Force Headquarters-Cyber (invited)

The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contracts are each worth up to $99.5 million over a three-year period. (Defense News)

One of the least talked about, but most potent capabilities that can enhance the survivability of a combat aircraft these days is the ability to deploy towed decoys. Often referred to as "little buddies" by the crews that bet their lives on them, they have existed in miniature form for over two decades on aircraft like the F-16C/D, B-1B, and F/A-18E/F, as well as foreign fighter aircraft. (The Drive)

Just 11 days after sending its fiscal 2020 budget to Congress, the Navy is back with a new $3.2 billion request for more F-35s, more offensive punch, new tech, and more money to bolster submarine and surface ship depot maintenance. (Breaking Defense)

Defense contractor BAE is working on a system that protects Army vehicles from incoming missiles by scrambling their sensors and sending the projectiles off target. Around 2015, the Army began to acknowledge that rather than using missiles to shoot down enemy missiles, other methods may be available to protect tanks and ground vehicles from such attacks. (C4ISRNET)

The U.S. Army released its new air and missile defense framework March 27 that aims to pursue multimission units and counter emerging threats like drones and hypersonic missiles, the Army’s Space and Missile Defense Command chief told Defense News in an interview just ahead of the Association of the U.S. Army’s Global Force Symposium. (Defense News)

Starting next year, counter-drone tech for the Marine Corps’ newest ground vehicle and an advanced radar system that can track everything from toy drones to cruise missile will be hitting the fleet. Marine Corps budget request documents sent to Congress outline funding that will see early increments of the Ground Based Air Defense system installed on at least 28 JLTVs and see a total of 13 Ground/Air Task-Oriented Radar systems fielded before the end of 2020. (Marine Corps Times)
