To date, the AOC Virtual Series has steered clear of mathematics, but that is about to change! This webinar will tackle the radar and jammer range equations head on to unpack the many layers of information buried in these important results. By the end of this presentation, attendees will have gained a clearer understanding of how the parameters of radar and EW systems interact to determine system performance - the fundamental objective of the radar and jammer range equations. Factors including antenna gain, radar cross section (RCS), effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP), coherent processing time, range (yes, really!), and others will be explored to understand what they actually mean in real systems. The theme for this year’s CEMA conference is: “CEMA as a Critical Enabler to Modernization Priorities". We will showcase the important role CEMA technologies and capabilities can play in helping achieve the CSA’s top 6 priority areas: Long Range precision Fire, Next Generation Combat vehicle, Future Vertical Lift, Network/C3I modernization, Advanced Missile Defense, and Soldier Lethality. Conference presentations may be Classified, TS/SCI US Only or REL FVEY, or Secret Releasable FVEY. LTG Scott Berrier, US Army Deputy Chief of Staff (G2) is confirmed as the Keynote Speaker for the upcoming AOC Army SIGINT event, entitled “Winning the EMS: The Future of Army SIGINT” on July 18. This event, taking place on Capitol Hill (2043 Rayburn House Office Building and the Capitol Hill Club), will study how the Army is prepared to fight in the EMS across the DOTMLPF, specifically discussing SIGINT/EW/CO requirements, training and organization.
This course will cover the unified presentation of the fundamental design principles of LPI radar. This includes a thorough treatment of the numerous types of wideband modulations that can be used to reduce the probability of a non-cooperative intercept receiver’s ability to intercept and extract the waveform modulation parameters (which may easily lead to an effective jammer response). We will also cover the intercept receiver time-frequency and bi-frequency signal processing techniques that can extract the wideband waveform parameters. Autonomous classification and parameter extraction algorithms are also an objective such that a real-time jammer response can be developed – just what we did not want to happen! Looking for more immediate learning options? Our on-demand course library has excellent presentations from Dave Adamy, Kyle Davidson, and Warren du Plessis! Find out more here.
The Association of Old Crows (AOC) Educational Foundation (AEF) awarded two scholarships in the amount of $12,500 each to two college students studying in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM).
