PAPERS DUE JUNE 1: AOC 48th International Symposium and Convention |
The AOC's annual symposium and convention, "Victory Through the Electro-Magnetic Spectrum," will take place November 13-16 in Washington, DC. The AOC is seeking original, unclassified and classified papers that discuss advancements in EW technologies and strategies from their conceptual phase through development and testing, into the user’s hands. Submissions are due June 1.

FiestaCrow 2011 a Success for Billy Mitchell Chapter |
The Billy Mitchell Chapter (BMC) continued its 32-year tradition of hosting the Mountain-Western Region Technical Symposium with FiestaCrow 2011 (FC11). This year’s theme was "EW & IO in a Cyber World," and attracted attendees from around the world. FC11 proceeds help maintain the chapter and scholarship program. This year’s golf tournament (sponsored by URS) made more than $6,000 for the BMC’s scholarship program.

(St. Louis, MO) is being awarded a $12,592,123 cost-plus-fixed-fee order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N00019-11-G-0001) for non-recurring engineering associated with EngineeriThe Boeing Co.ng Change Proposal 6381 for the F/A-18 and EA-18G AN/APG-79 Active Electronically Scanned Array Radio Detection and Ranging General Purpose Processor 3. In addition, this order provides for the procurement of 12 engineering development modules.
Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems (Ellicott City, MD) was awarded on May 2 a $49,107,559 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. The award will provide for the operational support services for the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization. Work will be performed in Arlington, VA, Afghanistan and Iraq, with an estimated completion date of May 10, 2013.
Communications and Power Industries (Palo Alto, CA) is being awarded a $7,920,954 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for traveling wave tubes and associated data. The $7,920,954 is the total dollar amount if the maximum quantities are ordered. The traveling wave tubes are high powered amplifiers for the Ship Missile Decoy Launching System, MK-53 (NULKA). This contract combines purchases for the Navy (94 percent); and the government of Canada (6 percent) under the Foreign Military Sales Program.
SRCTec, Inc. (Syracuse, NY) was awarded on April 20 a $78 million firm-fixed-price, time-and-materials, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. The award will provide for the modification of an existing contract to include primary Duke V3 system spares and increase the ordering ceiling to $278 million. Work will be performed in Syracuse, NY, with an estimated completion date of August 24, 2014.
