The UK Chapter’s ever growing awards program continues to recognise excellence in EW within the UK community. This latest award was presented to the EW Team of HMS OCEAN for continued EW support during operations throughout 2016. HMS Ocean’s EW team worked diligently, professionally and very hard in order to maintain a constant and vital part of situational awareness to the Command in what was a most challenging and varied operational duty in 2016.
HMS Ocean’s Commanding Officer, Captain Rob Pedre, an active AOC member for many years, was delighted and very proud to witness his EW team being recognised by winning the most prestigious Royal Naval EW Fleet Effectiveness Trophy, provided and sponsored by the UK Chapter for past 30 years. A certificate of commendation and cheque was also part of the recognition package which was so justly deserved. UK Chapter President, Wing Commander John Clifford OBE and Board Member David Peck were there on behalf of the UK Chapter and to assist RADM Bennett (ACNS Capability) in the presentation.
Bravo Zulu to HMS Ocean’s EW Team.
