AOC ELECTIONS START TODAY: Vote for the Board of Directors through July 31
Based on a Board of Directors decision in early 2014, only two At Large Director positions are up for election during the July 1-31, 2015 election period. However, due to an unfortunate error in the voting instructions published in the June 2015 JED, it was inadvertently printed that three At Large Directors from the six candidates could be selected on your ballot instead of the proper number of two.
The online elections software will treat the At Large voting section of the ballot correctly by limiting your selections to two. However, the June JED included paper copies, which could be used for voting. When and if the AOC HQ receives these paper ballots by mail, those voters will be contacted and given the opportunity to select their top two candidates for At Large. The June 2015 JED online version now contains the correct information on voting, and that ballot can be printed and used. We have also used other means to get the word out about this situation.
All other election process information, instructions and candidates in the printed issue are correct for the election, which opens July 1 and will continue through July 31, 2015.
