Inspired from the JED's August 2013 edition article "The Spectrum Management Challenge" the Red Baron Roost Bonn, Germany invited senior experts and analysts from CASSIDIAN, IAGB WTT and the Governmental Procurement Agency (BAAINBw) to discuss the influence of today's and future signal shapes and characteristics and the respective consequences for the military.
Along a fruitful discussion among the 40 participants about next generation’s signal detection and processing technologies, it became obvious that there’s an immense need for spectrum management and control capabilities in the armed forces, as well as a comprehensive approach to adapt relevant TTPs quickly.
For 2014, the AOC Red Baron Roost will continue to hold luncheons for its members and guests with topics like "Passive Radar Technologies – what’s in it for EW?" "New Developments in approaching COMINT" and "GaN in EW – Challenges and Opportunities."
